LONG PAINTING -- 2012 CREST AWARD WINNER

At the Second Annual Finishing Contractor's Association (FCA) meeting held in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mike Cassidy accepted the Contractor's Recognizing Excellence in Safety and Training (CREST) award in the "Painting and Wallcovering/More Than 150,000 Hours Worked" category on behalf of the entire Long team. The May 17, 2012 CREST ceremony was a part of the FCA's Safety Advisory Committee's inernational recognition of finishing contractors who recognize the value of safety and have programs in place to keep their workers safe.

Mr. Randy Bender, Chairman of the FCA's Safety Advisory Committee, stated that "The CREST Awards were created to encourage and recognize excellence in safety and to honor our contractors, with international recognition, who have lead an effective safety program throughout the previous year."

With a membership of over 7,100 contractors, the FCA handed out awards to sixteen contractors in five different categories including: Architectural Glass and Metal; Drywall Finishing; Floor Covering; Industrial Cleaning; and Painting and Wallcovering.  The cast bronze plaque is soon to be on display in the reception area of the coporate Kent, Washington office.

This award is a direct result of our peoples continued top shelf performance and our collective desires to make Safety a first priority.  A special thanks to every team member of Long Painting. Give yourself a round of applause.

 NACE III CERTIFICATION

The NACE Internation Coating Inspector Training and Certification Program is the only certification program that provides a standard of training for coating inspectors and improved inspection of coating application work that is recognized worldwide. Thousands of governmental agency and corporate specifications call for NACE Certification.

Because the coating inspector will encounter a variety of specifications, the program incorporates standards from domestic and international standard making organizations. The Coating Inspector Program is intended to present technology reflective of the standards as well as current industry practices.

Acheiving Level 3 status is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations on a job well done.
