Over the last five decades, our mission statement has guided Long Painting in our growth to become one of the largest and most respected painting contractors in the nation. Based out of Kent, Washington, we primarily serve people and businesses in the Northwest, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Northern California.
“Our mission is to provide customers with quality painting and related contracting services while providing a safe workplace for our employees, safeguarding the environment and the public, and receiving a fair return on investment.”
Long Painting Company opened for business in 1967, operating out of a small shop in Seattle. Under the leadership of the late Ty Long and his wife Anne, the company quickly outgrew the small quarters. By 1970, operations expanded to a five and one half acre complex in the south Seattle industrial area along the Duwamish Waterway. Site capabilities were expanded to encompass industrial sandblasting in 1971 and in 1976 the company entered into the marine painting field.
Today, Long Painting Company is owned by two long time managers. Branch offices of the company have been established throughout the Pacific Northwest including the corporate headquarters, which moved to facilities in Kent, Washington in 2001. We continue to grow by serving the Northwest United States as a union signatory commercial, industrial, and marine painting contractor.
