We would love to introduce you to the newest members of our team. Chris and Cecil have each joined Long Painting Company and we are thrilled to have them.
Chris has been in the steel industry for seven years and started working in the coating industry in 2012. Chris comes to Long Painting from Puget Sound Coatings where he was the Assistant General Manager. While working at Puget Sound Coatings in 2013, Chris received his SSPC C1 training. Prior to his work in the coating and steel industry, Chris was a master locksmith and owned his own small business. Chris also spent eight years in the military and studied business management at Bellevue Community College in 1995.
Chris has a family including his girlfriend Rachel, his two daughters Julie and Alyssa, and his dog Sasha.
When not working, Chris enjoys art and is an artist himself. Chris proudly showed his art at the Renton Art Walk in 2015. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and a good game of chess.
Cecil was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York though he graduated from St. Thomas More Prep in Oakdale, Connecticut. Cecil joined the USMC and served active duty from 1992 to 1998 in the 2nd Marines, 2nd Regiment, Echo Co. Force Recon–the eyes and ears of the USMC. After his service, he joined the local #4 San Francisco painter union and earned his journeyman card. Cecil moved to Portland in 2001 and joined local #10 until 2009 when he began to do estimating and sales for a small res paint company. Cecil helped the company grow from two painters and a van to 15 painters, three vans, a shop, and a good mix of res, commercial work. From there, Cecil taught safety classes to contractors through the Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA). Cecil is also a father to an eight-year-old girl named Calista. During the summer and the fall, he plays lacrosse in a men’s league; in the spring, you can find him playing soccer.
Cecil is ready to do his part to help Long Painting Company grow and become an industry leader in the PNW for finishes and coatings. He considers himself blessed to love what he does and where he is at.
