Last Friday, over 80 people attended a retirement party for Mike Cassidy held at Cedarbrook Lodge. Mike was with Long Painting over 32 years.
The current LPC President, John Fisher, thanked Mike for all his accomplishments while at LPC and for starting up Long Services Corporation.
During the cocktail reception guests mingled sipping wine and revisiting memories of past while enjoying tasty hors d’oeuvres.
Mike was pleased to see how many folks showed up, there were even a few who surprised him.
A brief presentation was shown to include photos of the past and even Mike’s employment application. His Employee Review from 1992 was included which was given by the late Ty Long “Since our last review, I’ve noticed that you are listening better and not butting in. Continue to work on this. I think you are working smarter now”. Guests got a kick out of this!
Several friends and co-workers spoke about their time working with Mike. President, John Fisher and Chief Financial Officer, Denica Bucklin, presented Mike a stunning Rolex watch, along with a card signed from the entire LPC staff.
Craig Sullivan of Sherwin Williams read a letter from the President of Sherwin Williams, John G. Morikis and presented Mike a beautiful bronze award with the following caption “In honor and appreciation of our partnership and friendship. Your leadership has revolutionized the paint industry.”
