LPC Foreman Meeting – Focus: Fall Restraint

Long Painting Company employees at the Kent and Vancouver, Washington offices gathered this month for their monthly safety meeting with the focus on fall restraint.

 Dan Roush, Director of EHS presented various types of fall restraint systems and described scenarios in which each one would be used.

Superintendent, Dan Santos presented a tool lanyard sample. He stressed the importance of not only needing to tie yourself off, but to also tie off tools, equipment and supplies.

Samples of different filler types, were passed around and new techniques and tools were shared by Superintendent, Andy Hamm. These products, techniques and tools will help the field immensely in the finalizing of projects.

President, John Fisher shared lessons learned. He stressed how important it is to not only be able to recognize pre-primed metals but to know whether they are manufactured or fabricated.

Foremen were encouraged to use the Pro to Pro app to share tips and techniques with each other.

Production Manager, Todd Fauchald reminded attendees that they are the face of Long Painting Company and to take that opportunity to build customer relationships.
