LPC Employees Compete for the Long Cup
Jul 10, 2018 | by Lisa Schaefer
T’was the week before the 4th and all thru the land, the putters were ready to make their stand, as the Long Cup was at hand. The teams were chosen and some were not happy, but all would play, though not all would play well. Through 18 holes the teams traded punches and at the end of the day it was all tied up, though some claim it was a set up. To the 18th green for another putt off by the gentleman from Vancouver and the cantankerous one from Kent. The putt was just short of a mile in length, or so it seemed, as the pugilists required three putts just to get close. So, after three years of losing, the men of Kent finally slayed the dragon and brought home the Long Cup and earned bragging rights at least until next year when the challenge will be renewed again.
