Annual Safety Meetings

On October 19th and 26th Long Painting Company offices in Vancouver and Kent, Washington held their Annual Safety Meetings.

Dan Roush, The Director of Environmental Health & Safety kicked off both meetings. He indicated to the crowd, that this is one of the safest companies he has ever worked for. Safety Awards were also presented to employees who worked safely and were injury free.

President, John Fisher addressed employees by letting them know to go “Back to the Basics”. He stressed how important it is to focus on the following:

  • Solid Estimates and Job Packages
  • Creating a Well-Executed Plan
  • Pay Attention to Safe Means and Methods
  • Have an Efficient Process
  • Focus on Attention to Quality of Work and Getting it Right the First Time
  • Project Management Must be Engaged

 

He also asked employees to not be afraid to share ideas; if they know of better ways to do something, share it.
