M.V. Puyallup

Specifications

A Jumbo Mark II Class Ferry, the M.V. Puyallup is 460’2” in length with a beam of 90’ and is one of the largest vessels in the ferry fleet. The exterior weather surfaces of the entire vessel was recoated from the guard to top of the mast with the exception of vessels exterior curtain plates surfaces (Sides). Complete paint removal by sandblasting in the following areas on; all interior vehicle lanes (Center, Lower and upper levels), both Pilot houses and Center Stacks / Sun rooms. A new coating system consisting of 2 coats of epoxy with 1 additional stripe coat and 1 urethane finish coat was applied to these areas. Solarium surfaces were spot prepared to an SP-11 and spot primed, full epoxy intermediate and full urethane finish. Coating System was supplied by Hempel Marine Paints. Non-skid deck surfaces were removed by track blasting and renew with American Safety Products AS-250 Non-skid.
