Overview: The repainting of this large suspension bridge in Portland was done in conjunction with the replacement of the concrete bridge deck. Existing lead-based paint was removed by abrasive blasting and vacuum-powered hand tools. Blasting and repainting was done inside Class 1 Containment. |
