Overview: This seismic retrofit project is designed to strengthen the roadway and bridge deck on the San Francisco side of the Golden Gate. Working from a flexible deck system, Long's crews removed the existing lead-based paint from selected sections of the bridge substructure and then repainted them. Abrasive blasting was done inside Class 1 containment structures. A moisture cure urethane from Wasser was used. |
